Greg and Jason Sign

December 29, 2005

HILLIARD, OH — Greg Garrett, a.k.a. Double G, and Jason Ridgeway both signed this week with the businss office to play in the 2006 Carl Spackler Open in Clayton, NC.

Greg is the winner of the Stroke Award for the past 2 years.  He signs for a 5th straight year. This is Garrett's 9th major championship including 4 Golfapalooza's.

Jason is the winner of nothing, however placed 2nd in Winston-Salem, NC in 2004.  Jason also holds the 3rd best stroke handicap.

Garrett quietly stole the show at Tanglewood Park in 2004 when he won the 2004 Skills Challenge. After making his 2-putt and answering a trivia question, he was the only player to chip a ball inside 6 feet.

"I have no plans to hack this year," says Ridgeway. "I embarrassed myself and scratch golfers everywhere with my poor play in Barnesville, PA. It will not happen again."

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open is scheduled for Round 1 play in 160 days. Garrett and Ridgeway become the 9th and 10th players to represent Ohio. This representation of early dominance is a strong indicator that the Golden Jacket will return to the state of Ohio.
