Mealey to Represent Maryland

January 3, 2006

BALTIMORE, MD — Scott Mealey, a 2nd year member from Baltimore, MD, has signed a letter of intent to play in the 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship.

"Scott Mealey brings an extensive amount of golf experience with him," says Jay Dilks. "He has been successful in local cities and on the national level. He brings an eagerness to win regardless of the severe hacking everyone was subjected to in Pottsville."

Mealey a.k.a. "The Red Zone Violator" moved from Rocky Mount, NC to Las Vegas nearly 2 years ago. After losing his entire life savings as a Las Vegas resident, The Red Zone Violator moved back to the east coast taking up residence in Baltimore.

"I think everyone knows my passion for poker," says Mealey. "I am happy to be back on the eastern time zone and representing the fine state of Maryland."

Mealey joins the tournament as the only player representing the state of Maryland. Player Preferences for the 2006 tournament begin on February 15. Signed players are urged to update their personal information located on the website.
