DUBLIN, OH — The first phase of the Carl Spackler Open Championship is complete. The tournament field has been established with 60 players as tournament officials begin the second phase of planning.

The Captains Club would like to announce that player preferences will be delayed two weeks pushing the second phase back to March 1. The player preferences will be available for the entire month of March.

During the 30 day period, the business office will take preferences for each golfer. These preferences include additional services, personal preferences, apparel and entertainment opportunities. Services include individual rooms, reservations for Tuesday night and bus transportation to/from golf course. Personal preferences include preferred golf partners and roommates. Apparel includes the optional purchase of Spackler apparel. Entertainment opportunities include the optional Friday 4-man scramble and Wednesday practice round.

Players will be required to fill out all preferences online if they wish to participate.

On Wednesday, April 1, the gathered preference data will be analyzed, organized, and specifically structured for June. Things to start considering for your preference selections. (1) Your budget, (2) Your arrival date and time, and (3) your alcohol consumption.

"There is a full itinerary scheduled for 96 hours starting June 7," says Jason Watson, Vice President of Awards. "It includes all scheduled activities with options. Players choosing to not read all provided information online and through emails could be disappointed in June."

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open begins in 124 days at The Neuse Golf Club.
