Looking for more in Carolina

March 10, 2006

NEW YORK, NY — Soon to be announced on WRAL-TV, Don Creighton will be joining the Carl Spackler Open field when it hits the southern soil of The Neuse in Clayton, NC in June 2006.  Don joins an already solid field but brings some of his city-boy flare to the country.  SNN recently caught up with the intercontinental man of mystery…

SNN: So Don, what have you done specifically to prepare for this year’s Carl Spackler Open Championship?

Don: Nothing really.  I don’t get bogged down in all that “preparation” baloney.  I’m the kind of guy that either has it that day or doesn’t.

SNN: Kind of an odd stance.  You seem disinterested.

Don: No.  I’m interested.  How can you not be?  I mean, our hotel is the nicest we’ve had in the history of the tournament.  There are loads of bars within walking distance from the hotel.  The course is unreal.  We’ve got our own beverage carts distributing beer to the field on a frequent basis.  Alive after Five may still be on and there are rumors of an optional Party Bus.

SNN: Rumors of a Party Bus?  Are you in charge of transportation?  What is a Party Bus?

Don: I am coordinating our transportation efforts.  I can only imagine what a Party Bus is.

SNN: You’ve got a smile on your face like you know.

Don: I’ve got no idea.

SNN: Okay.  So Don, you’re oft-admired by the females for your physique and attire.  How do you explain your appeal?

Don: I really cannot put a finger on it.  However, I can say that I am now single and looking forward to this trip.  I would like to see if that classic beach music song, “Carolina Girls” holds any water.

SNN: So you plan on searching for more then just your ball in the woods at The Neuse?

Don: First, I don’t hit my ball in the woods.  Second, I don’t search.  I am sought after.

SNN:  Interesting.  Thanks for your time.

You can see Don Creighton and the rest of the Carl Spackler Open field in North Carolina starting June 7, 2006.  It is bound to be a great event.
