Farrell fills Open Spot

March 16, 2006

MARIENVILLE, PA — The Carl Spackler Open has signed another athlete to compete in 2006 major championship. His name is Chace Farrell. "Gumby tells me Chace has received tremendous success at the national level," noted Vice President of Online Scoring, Greg Garrett. "Rumor has it that he has showcased some accuracy and a spotty short game in Marienville for years. I would like to be entering lower than average scores for everyone, but then reality always puts me in check."

Farrell is very strong off the tee, but second shots from 40 yards into the woods has never placed him in much control of his game. Combined with his mental toughness, he does has the ability to shoot both bogey golf and some very low numbers. He adds great "bogey golfer" depth to the field of players.

"I heard this guy is a somebody inside the Pine Acres Country Club property lines," says Garrett. "Everyone is good on their home golf course and then they show up to Mountain Valley and post their worst rounds of the season."

The field is finally set to 60 players for the 2006 Carl Spackler Open. Playing partners and roommates will be completed by the business office in late-April.

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins on June 8 in Clayton, NC. A practice round is scheduled for June 7 at 1:30PM.
