Live Music @ Jerry's Pub

November 9, 2006

BROOKLYN, MI — The Captains Club continued to release information surrounding the 7th annual Carl Spackler Open Championship. Don Creighton did the honors of announcing the second lakefront opportunity.

"We are very excited about the entertainment value at Jerry's Pub," said Creighton, Vice President of Group Transportation. "Jerry’s Pub is located on the shore of Whamplers Lake. It seats 180 guests including 60 outside on the deck overlooking the lake. There is a small outdoor tiki-bar on the deck, small marina for boating patrons and sand volleyball court on the beach."

Creighton added, "Jerry's has karaoke on Wednesday nights and live music Thursday-Saturday starting at 10:00PM. The live music is almost always a band from Jackson, Ann Arbor or Detroit."

Jerry's is located 10-minutes southeast from the selected hotel. A 4-seat taxi service is expected to provide round trip safe transportation for $20.

"We are investigating optional safe transportation for our golfers at the highest priority," said Creighton. "We plan to release all confirmed information early next year."

A member of a local band says, "We mainly play at a wonderful roadhouse out in the Irish Hills called Jerry’s Pub. It's is still going strong and is about my favorite bar in the world. The boats would pull up out in back on Wampler's Lake. On race weekends, sweat drips from the rafters, my microphone will wave back in forth in front of my face because the floor is shaking from the dancers."

Jerry's Pub provides a very large menu for dinner and converts their establishment into a local hotspot in the evenings.

The 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins registration in 6 days. The tournament cap of 88 golfers is expected to move golfer signings into early-December instead of late-December.
