HOUSTON, TX — Jason Watson, a.k.a. Randy, had completely lost his way just last year. There was little reason to take him seriously so nobody did. In July, he moved to Texas and found the way. Now he is running away with the 2006 Virtual Tournament.

Is he cheating? Never. Watson knows the consequences of reverse-sandbagging. Watson is not cheating or making a mockery out of the tournament. He added dedication and focused on improvement.

Jason Watson leads the season-long tournament by nearly 15 points per round. "His last 10 rounds...86 or lower! That's a handicap difference of -13!" says non-closer Matt Pritchard. "I think something needs adjusted or I need to start smoking, drinking or doing whatever he is doing."

The latest rounds include 70 points at the Tour 18 and 67 points at an unfamiliar Woodforest Golf Club. Randy presently holds first position with an incredibly rare 63.4 points per round.

Captains Club member Tom McCauley sat down for a quick interview to gain additional insight on how Randy Watson has managed to set improvement records.

"I am playing about once per week during the offseason," said Watson in a written statement. "Going to the range twice per week for 2 hours at a time has developed a lot of consistency that can be carried to the golf courses. Most importantly, I fixed my balance and no longer falling out of my swing."

McCauley asked about the Texas courses and very lengthy yardages he continues to dominate. "Courses down here are a little more wide open with not as much trouble," said Watson. "The bermuda greens are much easier to putt on than bent greens. The USGA Slope Ratings down here are out of whack."

Randy Watson, the drummer for Sexual Chocolate, can relax at the top with just 30 days left in the Virtual Tournament. Matt Davis is nearly 15 points per round behind with snow moving into Pittsburgh next week.
