JACKSON, MI — The Spackler Business Office announced the signing of highly-touted members to the 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship. Jason "Randy" Watson, Jason Ridgeway and John McAninch sign as the 12th, 13th and 14th players.

John, a.k.a. Malcovich, has decided to attend this year after skipping last year for a family vacation. "Being John Malcovich is not easy. They even made a movie about being me. That sure says a lot about my character."

Tom McCauley of the Captains Club believes Malcovich will continue to be a big boost for the tournament. "We are very excited that John has chosen to attend the Open Championship. He is a proven player with extensive regional and national experience. He has the ability to shoot bogeys and is an excellent student of the game."

Jason Watson, winner of the 2006 Virtual Tournament, has a lot to prove in June. He signs as the first player to represent the state of Texas. Watson opened the Raleigh tournament with just 21 points. He moved a little on "moving day" with 35 points. His final round 51 was the monster round he needed to repeat.

Watson has improved quite a bit since the summer. He dropped his 27.5 stroke handicap to 9.4 strokes in what many members call, "horse crap". Watson presently boasts the Webb Award as the best player in Spackler History and the winner of the 2006 Virtual Tournament.

"All of his achievements and failures are pointless on paper," said Matt Davis of Randy Watson's letter of intent. "I want to see his 9.4 handicap first hand."

Jason Ridgeway returns for his 4th straight year. His signing continues to load up Ohio representation. "I know the history," said Ridgeway of Carl Spackler Open. "The Golden Jacket has resided in Ohio for 4 of the 6 years. It is just a shame that I did not win a 5th jacket for Ohio at Tanglewood Park."

Ridgeway signs as the best stroke handicap in the field. Ridgeway enters the 2007 tournament as the 4th best golfer in Spackler history. He holds that position behind Watson, Brian Long and CFO Rick Dosky.

The 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins on June 7, 2007. The tournament expects between 12-15 options and preferences for participant selection starting in early March.
