Little Buddy Returns

February 16, 2007

WARREN, PA — Jim Campbell of Warren, PA has signed a national letter-of-intent to play golf at the 2007 Carl Spackler Open, member Jon Munksgard announced today. "Our Little Buddy is one of our most excited members and we are always happy to see he is prioritizing his life properly."

Campbell returns for his 4th straight tournament and finishing in 8th position at last year's event. He finished even better at Mountain Valley, where he found another Top 10 finish with 4th position.

"Things have been going very well for me at the Spackler," said Campbell in his written statement. "My Top 10 finishes over the past couple of years has really given me the confidence that a golden jacket should arrive very soon."

Munksgard's Little Buddy will arrive in Michigan with his traditional goals. Beating Munksgard first and winning a jacket second.

"Jim has a tremendous amount of national tournament experience after very successful finishes at our Open," Munksgard said. "He lacks solid fundamentals, which means it's his time to wear an outfit or two."

Campbell is considering himself a strong contender in 2006. "Put it this way," Campbell said. "If I hit a couple of bad shots, I feel like it's not the end of the world. I can still post a really good number against these guys. When I was a rookie, it seemed like my inexperience translated into damage control and I struggled to shoot 40-over par each day. But that's not the case anymore. It is amazing what a little tournament planning can do."

The Carl Spackler Open is set to kickoff on June 7 with Round 1. There are 38 players signed as of today. Jim is the 6th player to sign from Warren, PA and the 8th player from the state of Pennsylvania.
