BROOKLYN, MI — Greg Garrett, member of the Captains Club, announced today the details surrounding the Carl Spackler Open and Activity Room in Brooklyn, MI.

The Activity Room, which is attached to Super 8 Motel, seats 100-golfers with a circular table design.

"We are very excited about the large room," said Garrett by cell phone interview. "There are plenty of services provided, but the room will allow the event to provide the services in an extremely smooth fashion."

The activity room will move the mandatory player meeting from the golf course. This will eliminate unnecessary movement of handouts, apparel and many other items by event coordination.

The room will also be used for the catered awards dinner and presentation on Saturday evening. "The dedicated room removes 20-30 percent of unnecessary charges surrounding gratuity and beverage along with providing 400 percent more space," Garrett added. "We cannot be happier."

In addition, the Super 8 Activity Room will be used on Friday evening for the Casino/Cornhole Tournaments along with another catered dinner. "This room is adding an incredible value," said Garrett. "The efficiencies are unmatched in our 7-year history."

The activity room has been rented from Wednesday through Sunday morning. Participants are welcome to use the room and its kitchen throughout the weekend.

The 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins with its opening round on June 7. There are 60 golfers scheduled to participate in the 7th annual tournament.
