HERNDON, VA — For the third time, Andy Cohen will contend in the Carl Spackler Open in search of the elusive Golden Jacket. To reinforce his commitment to the event, he submitted his deposit in early January. Cohen returns after missing the Raleigh tournament last June.

Cohen's last-minute signing caused some concern among members of the Captains Club, thinking he might not make the field this year.

"When I heard the news of Robby Fustich attending, I was really stunned and needed to take a step back and rethink my priorities," said Cohen, explaining his late entry. "But after some serious soul-searching, I determined it would be in the best interest of domestic harmony if I took the few days off and made the trip to Jackson for this prestigious event. Plus I want to see if Dosky has expanded his already biblical porn collection."

Cohen will look to improve on his ballooning 39 handicap this spring and make a serious run at the title. "I'm considering switching clubs from the 60-year old bladed set my grandfather gave me 15 years ago to something a little more modern," says Cohen. "The extra yardage could give me an edge with wide fairways and very true greens."

Andy returns to the Carl Spackler Open after participation at Mountain Valley. He finished in 59th position, which he sees as a good thing. "Everyone says the bottom of the Leaderboard is not good," says Cohen. "Beating Glenn Hoffert is the goal. It is for all the glory and 59th place was clearly enough against Al Czverik at Mountain Valley."

Andy Cohen signs as the 6th player to represent the state of Virginia. He signs as the 56th player overall. The 2007 Carl Spackler Open begins on June 6 with its annual practice round. Tom McCauley, Vice President of Golf Instruction, has signed once again for a bunker clinic starting at 9:49AM.
