The Boys of Summer

May 17, 2007

JACKSON, MI — The boys of summer are almost ready to pack and get it on in Jackson, MI. The tournament has signed 64 talented participants and 89 percent of the field is ready for a first look at the venue starting June 6.

"In June, we embark on our next adventure," says Captains Club member and past champion Rick Dosky. "Business is almost complete. I am very happy with collections and the fun is moments away."

Dosky has scheduled a "closed stance" clinic for the players looking to eliminate their slice and hook. The clinic starts on Wednesday at 9:30AM EST.

The Boys of Summer caricature displays 2005 Horses Ass Winner Chuck Long, Sr. hanging onto the back of the golf cart. It also shows Chris Lashley, who won the Casino Contest at Mountain Valley and is driving the golf cart. Rick Dosky is riding in the golf cart as the winner of the Golden Jacket and purse. Kevin Long, Jr., rides the front of the golf cart with poop stain like an out of control animal. Mike Herron is going to be run over by the golf cart. He received the Carl Spackler Outfit back in 2005.

"I really like the boys of summer," said reigning Horse's Ass Chuck Long, Sr. from his home in central Pennsylvania. "Once you surpass the age of 50, the word boy is always good to hear."

Kevin Long is scheduled to return to the tournament on Thursday, June 6. Rick Dosky also returns with a chance to win his second jacket, however it will take a miracle swing change to succeed.

There are 20 days left before Round 1. A mandatory player meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:45AM.
