CHARLOTTE, NC — Chris Milam continued his strong run towards the Virtual Tournament, firing a 20-over 92 Sunday afternoon in the twelveth round giving him 59.9 points per round.

"I just feel very comfortable right now," he said. "It is kind of in my element here in Charlotte. I am proud of myself to be able to push the early season aside and go out there and shoot good scores."

Milam scored six bogeys and one par over the first nine holes scoring 22 points. The two triple bogeys cost him a very strong front nine.

"I am hitting it pretty good," said Milam. "My driver is coming along, however need to start making more putts."

The back nine peaked with pars at 10 and 11. He birdied 16, which was worth eight points. The lack of triple bogeys resulted in a 8-over 44 back nine. He finished with 31 points on the back nine and 71 total points.

Milam has changed for the better in the past month and he has talked about acquiring a certain amount of maturity on and off the golf course. He has  transformed himself without giving up all the ‘attitude’ that helped him achieve much of what he has to date.

The bigger picture is the season-long 2008 Virtual Tournament, which is a wonderful golf backdrop for Chris Milam. He holds 30th position after opening the season near the bottom.

"I am working hard on making the right decisions on and off the golf course this summer and I am going to keep working hard and see where that gets me."
