GALLOWAY, OH — Rick Dosky hacked his way to 18 strokes before the third tee, however finished strong with 7 bogeys and 71 points. Dosky poured in bogey putt after bogey putt, as cheers turned from disbelief to sheer amazement. “Right now, my focus is going to be Golfapalooza in two weeks, and see if I can win it,” Dosky said.

Dosky also carded five double-bogeys in the monsterous effort. “He played amazing. It was awesome,” said Brad Carder, who was paired with Dosky and closed with a 110. “I don’t think you guys are going to realize how good that was, because you’re aren’t playing and you don’t know how tough Thorn Apple Golf Club was playing. When Dosky plays like that, it’s hard to beat him.”

Dosky continues to get stronger from his hip replacement surgery in March. The 71 point round moves him upward into a tie for 14th position.

“He’s back to form,” Pat Boland said. “He’s such a great player when he gets on form. He’s playing really good golf, he’s got some confidence going. He’s going to be a dangerous guy.”

In other news, Jonathan Gordon poured in 2 pars and 5 bogeys at Sharon Woods Golf Club in Cincinnati, OH. The 31-over 101 was worth 84 points and first place in the 2008 Virtual Tournament.
