ROCKY MOUNT, NC — Carl Spackler Open spokesman (yes, ladies, spokes-MAN) Jay Dilks announced that the On Tour Championship officially begins today, March 1, 2004. Players should bear in mind that three rounds of recorded golf (54 holes) is the minimum number required to participate in the On Tour Championship.

"We?re really excited to get the ball rolling March 1st for the On Tour Championship. Hopefully, all this freakin? snow will melt by that time," said Dilksey. "I hope I have an opportunity to get the cobwebs worked out," added Don "Spanky" McFarland. "I?m hoping that starting exceedingly early will allow me to get a quick jump on the rest of the field. The thing that worries me though is that I?ve heard that some guys have already gone out to the practice range. Now that?s early!", said McFarland.

Willy Smalls started early in 2004 and leads the tournament with 39.3 points per round.  Scott Mealey and Pat Boland have also recorded scorecards early and round out the top 3.

Golfers new to the site and interested in competing in the On Tour Championship should go to the Site Home, click on Register, and populate each field on the registration form. When finished, the player should click on the Add Registration button to finalize the registration. For further assistance, the player should click on the spinning Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the form.

Players can keep their account up-to-date by clicking on the Administration link at the Site Home, then choosing their name and entering their password in the provided fields. Players will also discover that it?s very easy to add Tee Dates, Scorecards, and even Golf Courses on this website.

The On Tour Championsip begins today and ends on November 30, 2004. This year-long tournament and it's organizers have reset all player NOOG Points.  Golfers can enter their scorecards when ready.
