JAMESTOWN, NY — The Spackler Business Office today received a letter of intent from the 2001 Carl Spackler Outfit receipent, Mike Trojanowski, who has been instrumental in the success of this ongoing major championship. The letter was his late-minute commitment to his 9th straight major championship.

The one-time 6-foot, 210-pound Trojanowski filed with a desire to win his second Golden Jacket. "Today marks the beginning of my personal quest to win this major championship again," said Trojanwoski. "Winning the tournament again is my first priority. My annual commitment to the Jeremy Myers Beer Tasting Clinic after the practice round on Wednesday will always be second."

Trojanowski, the 2002 Golden Jacket winner, signs as the 80th player to the tournament field and replaces Craig Williams.

The Chairman of the Captains Club expressed his thoughts on the Trojanowski signing by saying, "I am very happy that Troj will be joining the field this year. It is where he belongs."

Even Matt Davis came out of hiding upon hearing news of a Trojanowski return. "He is clearly the foundation to our major championship," said Pokey. "I mean for powerful swings and hackers. He possesses quality skills in the area complemented by his ability to swing the club with excitement. His extraordinary shot making skills and a tenacious work ethic is expected to allow him shine this June."

Trojanowski is part of the Captains Club and handles meals and the outfit suitcase. He finished in a tie for 45th position last June in Indiana.

In other news, Brad Carder withdrew from his 2nd straight Carl Spackler Open last Friday. The 2-time attendeee of the tournament, Scott Zavinski, replaced Brad Carder in a matter of seconds from the paid waiting list.

"The participant demand for the 9th event is extremely high despite the economic recession," says Jeremy Myers. "We have added another foursome with even more guys on the waiting list."

Bob Jastrzebski, Jr., Bob Jastrzebski, Sr., rookie Brian Linley, and rookie Michael Mortlock, Jr. were added Monday. The additions take the tournament field to 84 participants. "I just found 4 reminder registration emails in my spam folder from last year," said Bob Jastrzebski, Sr. in a written statement. "I am writing a check for $1,600. Please do what you can to get us in the tournament."

The Captains Club continues to express the desire for all interested late-entries to contact someone from the Captains Club, Rick Dosky, or Greg Long.

The 2009 Carl Spackler Open Championship has established its rookie roommate list, which is subject to change based on cancellations and replacements. The tournament will host its annual player meeting on Thursday morning, June 11 at 8:00AM.
