BEXLEY, OH — The Carl Spackler Open took a moment to remind everyone the importance of the website as a portal for group information. As the event continues to grow, the Captains Club has increased the services online and asks everyone to update their accounts and contact information.

"I am very happy with our website and what it brings to our wonderful group of guys," says member Fernando Martinez. "As we expand our events toward national exposure, our member information will continue to be essential."

A complete golfer account supplies the computer an opportunity to conform to individual preferences and golfing history. The computer then uses the information to improve golfer usability in many areas including scorecard entry.

The player profiles control the course surveys, email generation and more importantly establish communication throughout the large group. The preferences within each golfer profile also allows each golfer to transfer ownership of their account to another member of the Carl Spackler Open.

"This is pretty important information with the next tournament registration right around the corner," said Martinez.

The health-related setback date is just another service provided in the golfer profile. Golfers with a physical restriction from hospitalization or sickness can set a new start date for stroke handicap analysis.

The 2009 Virtual Tournament ends in roughly 120 days. Chad Long and Scott Mealey lead the season-long tournament through nine months.
