Registration Table

May 2, 2011

BARNESVILLE, PA — The Carl Spackler business office announced today a new registration table with help from Jeremy Myers and Jay Dilks. The table and possible tent is a complete addition to the 11-year old event.

"The event is growing and procedures must change to correspond," says a very young looking Jeremy Myers. "Each golfer must register with our table before the afternoon practice round. It is not optional."

The registration table will be signing-in golfers along with distributing gifts, participant option purchases, pairing sheets, and personalized bag tag.

"The purpose of the table is to acquire must needed efficiencies," says Jay Dilks. "We have thousands of items to distribute. The most senior members of the Carl Spackler Open are not excluded from this requirement. There needs to be zero items in our tent before the practice round begins."

The registration table will be setup near the practice range at Mountain Valley Golf Course.

"I am not getting my ass out of bed at 6:30AM on Thursday," added Myers. "The table will be setup during the optional 7:45AM shotgun practice round. Golfers playing 36 holes should register with our table after their first 18 holes on Thursday."

The addition of the registration table on Thursday will remove mass distribution from a busy tournament player meeting.

"This table is on trial this June," added Dilks. "The Captains Club believes this is a large step to better event efficiencies, however will be changing things in 2012 depending on successes and failures."

The 2011 Carl Spackler Open will hold an optional practice round on the Mountain course starting at 7:45AM. The shotgun start will open the range for practice at 7:00AM. The Comfort Inn will begin to provide breakfast starting at 6:00AM. There is projected to be 30 minutes between the optional practice round and traditional practice round.
