SEVIERVILLE, TN — The 2016 Carl Spackler Open is approximately 100 days away. The event is moving into the participant option season. The event has designated March as participant option month. The Captains Club held another press conference to discuss the important expectations and instructions surrounding the 16th annual event.

"Our golf vacation is planned; however there are responsibilities and instructions for each vacationer," says Captains Club member Bill Bateson. "The month of March is dedicated to participant options. This is where participants are asked to communicate with their friends, spouse, and event. The process includes optional lodging, golf, apparel, and personal requests."

Sevierville Golf Club is a 36-hole facility. There is a River course and a Highlands course. The golf tournament will be held on both courses. The included Wednesday afternoon round will be played on the River course. Each participant has the option to play 36 holes on Wednesday, which would include the Highlands course.

"We are offering play on the Highlands course for a low $20.00," said Bateson. "There is a second option for Tuesday night lodging, which would likely go hand-in-hand with the golf option. The tee times are based on roster size, but expected to be in the 7:00AM range."

The event will also host a second 36-hole option on Friday afternoon, which is the traditional scramble. It will also be played on the Highlands course.

"Begin discussing your travel plans," added Bateson. "Optional golf and lodging will require decisions that effect your wife and fellow car poolers. Go ahead and get started talking about your travel plans to Tennessee."

The 2016 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Sevierville Golf Club. There are 60 to 64 golfers expected to participate in the 96-hour celebration of Caddyshack and golf.
