Rookie Hagg Registers

WARREN, PA — Dan Hagg, a Pennsylvanian for twenty-two years in Warren, PA who broke Blueberry scoring records, has decided to enter himself into the Carl Spackler Open Championship.

But miss the On Tour Championship? "No way," says Hagg. Dan has the Blueberry Hill scoring record of 182 strokes during a particular round of golf.

"I don't think I can explain how I feel," after Hagg registered last week. "I decided early on this year that I was going to play golf and that I would register in as many tournaments as possible."

Hagg is set to attend his first major championship in 2005.  "Never in my mind did I ever think twice about playing in such a prestigious tournament," says Hagg.  "As long as I play hard and beat Marc Long, there is no problems."

"I think about the 2005 Spackler Open and the Tour Championship every day," Hagg said, who last played on Saturday at Blueberry Hill. "I am looking forward to finishing the On Tour Championship and preparing for the 2005 Open.  I will bet another talented field will sign this winter."

Hagg shot 118 strokes worth 34 points toward his first On Tour Championship scorecard.
