Spinning Out of Control

November 29, 2004

GLEN ALLEN, VA — Just when Chris Lashley is trying to earn 58th place, Scott Zavinski scores a career low 13 points.  Zavinski's continued to spin out of control Sunday at his home golf course in Glen Allen, VA.  So out of control, that Scott now earned last place and will most likely lose the 2004 On Tour Championship.

The annual On Tour Championship recognizes the most improved golfer from the past season.  The season-long tournament also identifies the player who spirals the most out-of-control.  With 22.8 points per round and 2 days left, Scott Zavinski has nearly sealed the deal.

Zavinski is not just subpar, but three digits as of Sunday," says Mike Herron.  "Now he is going crazy because his game is performing like Enron and his mind needs a point for double bogey, let alone bogey."

"I need points for double bogey," says Zavinski.  "I am playing horrible and that is very disappointing.  If I can get this thing turned around soon, I can position myself for both the 2005 On Tour Championship and Open Championship in Pottsville.  Otherwise, my golf career may turn into retirement."

The On Tour Championship completes in 2 days.  Jim English leads the season-long tournament by 1/3 point over Glenn Hoffert.  Chris Lashley capitalizes on the misfortunes of Zavinski as he moves up a spot into sole ownership of 58th place.
