Garrett Charges

September 1, 2005

HILLIARD, OH — That old familiar feeling came back this week, like the breeze that blew through New Orleans ? Greg Garrett is on the move. Only the rain never fell during his play, and Greg has not yet found the lead.

After electrifying the crowd by moving to within three points of leader Jean Dore late in season-long On Tour Championship, Garrett has taken over 5th place with 47.9 points per round.

"If you feel you had an opportunity to win and you did not seize that opportunity, then it?s disappointing," said Garrett.  "I owe my golf instructor a lot of credit.  Being in control has enabled my game to remain consistent throughout."

Garrett led the pack of 68 guys in June at Mountain Valley.

Garrett is battled back after his rough start this spring with birdies and pars.  His last five rounds have piled up 53+ points per round and even 61 points in early August.  He is making a late charge at glory.

The 2005 On Tour Championship plows into Labor Day Weekend with a tight race.  In other news, Chris Lashley submitted another terrible round this week and remains in last place of 79 players.
