COLUMBUS, OH — In an attempt to completely humiliate the 2002 field, Mike Trojanowski (Troj), took home the 2002 Closest to the Pin Champion award.  Troj, the 2001 Spackler Outfit wearer, demonstrated his poise as he struck his first attempt from the tee as true as a freshly plowed snow.

Troj didn?t have much competition until CEO; Jamie Myers stepped to the tee box.  Myers hit it close and it came down to a measurement.  Unfortunately, he came up 4 inches short.  Jason Dilks, Captain?s Club Member stated, ?I thought for sure Myers had it when I saw that ball coming.?  Myers couldn?t be reached for comments.  It is believed that he has recently enrolled in the Ty Webb School of Golf for some professional tutelage.

Speculation amongst the field began to stir that afternoon as members of the tournament started to question Troj?s ability as it related to his assigned Noog points.  Don McFarland was overheard stating, ?That friggin? Troj shouldn?t be getting points for a double bogey!?

Even the usually quiet Matt Davis, (Pokey) spoke up about Troj?s ?unusual? rise to the top by saying, ?I believe that Mr. Trojanowski has been less than honest in logging in his scores over the course of last year.  I wouldn?t put anything past him.?  Jason Watson, VP of Tournament Rules and Don Creighton, VP of Player Discipline didn?t want to be formally quoted but only stated, ?We are considering launching a full investigation into Michael?s tournament success.?
