Gus: "They're back!"

July 29, 2003

TRIADELPHIA, WV — Back in January, Gus Sokos stepped to the podium at a GVII news conference and uttered these words: "I was talking to the sister of one of last year's entertainers at work a couple weeks ago and she told me that her sister was no longer in the entertainment business. Apparently her boyfriend didn't want her to be an entertainer anymore. I'm not giving up just yet. We all know how these people are; there's not many professions where she can make the kind of cash she earned from us last year in that amount of time. I'm going to wait a few months and give her a call. At worst, she owes me a referral to someone who can fill her shoes."

Yesterday a note was slipped under the door at Golfapalooza HQ. It simply stated: "They're back!Peace - Gus"

Gus was tracked down later for comments. "I'd like to take all the credit for this but I can't. I was at work a week ago when the entertainer's sister approached me to find out if there was need for an encore performance this year; of course I agreed. All of the details have been finalized for Saturday night at Golfapalooza."

Golfapalooza founder GStan's reaction was predictable. "I had all the faith in the world that Gus would pull through for us. It's nice to see Founding Fathers leading the way and taking the initiative on things like this."
