WINSTON-SALEM, NC — Nothing beats the heart pounding excitement of casino action.  The Captain Club were very aware of this excitement when they decided to bring a casino into the entertainment sector of the Carl Spackler Open.  The club accelerated the entertainment value along with providing additional services to the tournament atmosphere with the Spackler Casino.

"This type of exciting activity for our next tournament is why the group continues to grow", said Tommy McCauley of Vice President of Golf Instruction.  "We plan to bring a ton of excitement and fun to the group off the golf course and immediately contribute back to the group."  The casino house will be the group kitty and the winnings of the group kitty will be directly put back into the group in the forms of entertainment, alcohol, golf or lowering the cost of future trips.

The Captains Club plans to have the three major casino table games: Blackjack, Roulette and Craps.  Most guests prefer Blackjack so it may replace craps.  Roulette is planned for Wednesday night and Blackjack is planned on Thursday night and Friday night.

Craps is one of the most exciting casino table games. In casinos, you often hear players cheering for their favorite numbers. You can bet for or against the roller. Craps can be intimidating to new players, so an easy explanation of the rules will be required before play begins.

BlackJack is the most popular casino table game in America.  The game dates back to our frontier days. The object is to get as close to 21 without "busting" or going over, and still beat the dealer's total.

In Roulette you place bets on numbers, combinations of numbers, or colors on a grid like layout. A small ball is spun on a wheel with 38 numbers. The ball eventually drops in to a slot, selecting a number and color. Roulette is very popular in Europe and has continued to be a staple in American casinos.
