BALTIMORE, MD — The Open Championship has verified another member of the Captains Club has signed to play in 2004. Our Chief Financial Officer, Rick Dosky announced the signing of "pink-tee" Jay Dilks to a National Letter of Intent for the 2004 Carl Spackler Open in Winston-Salem, NC. As in past years, this is likely to be the lone signee for the state of Maryland.

"One of these days, I will recruit someone from Maryland in an attempt to better represent the beautiful state of Maryland", said Dilks.  "But, for now, I must practice and practice and hope for the impossible."

"Dilks is a highly competitive athlete and one of the nation's most sought-after recruits," commented Dosky, who is one of a long list of great amateur golfers. With addition of Dilks, the tournament stands at many, many qualified players for this upcoming June tournament ? myself, Greg Long and Tom Fowble - we will look for Dilks to fill one of those coveted spots in our fantastic field. He is so mentally tough out on the course, hopefully he can continue to be strong throughout the weekend. Dilks will bring lots of talent and enthusiasm to our tournament."
