WARREN, PA — Vice President of Golf Instruction, Tom McCauley announces today the signing of Steve Hoden to a National Letter of Intent for the 2004 Carl Spackler Open Championship.

"Steve will help our program reach our ultimate goal, which is to achieve national attention", said McCauley. "He will definitely compete for a best spot in his rookie year. His ball striking is second to none, but his short game and new found mental approach has made him the player he is."

Hoden is coming off a very successful 2003 season, which included some very top shelf golf.  "This game is easy", said Hoden.  With a chuckle, "You pick a club, hit the ball, find it and hit it again.  Players just make it difficult."  Hoden appeared to be confident in his abilities.  "I plan to take advantage of these guys and bring the Jacket home."

The 2004 Carl Spackler Open begins play on June 10.  Steve is the 35th player to sign and the 11th rookie.  Steve also signs as the 6th player from the Warren area.
