GALLOWAY, OH — Jason Watson of Ohio has signed a national letter of intent to play golf at the Carl Spackler Open. Captains Club member Matt Davis announced the signing. Watson is a 5 foot 10 inch, 175-pound soccer player turned monster on the golf course.

Watson is one of the most accomplished golfers currently playing on our tour. He has a wealth of national experience playing in all 3 previous majors in Myrtle Beach, Williamsburg and Madison. He is one of the few that plays an aggressive major lineup with Golfapalooza in the fall. He comes as a major champion at Golfapalooza in 2002 and has placed inside the Top 6 in all three Carl Spackler sponsored majors.

"Having Jason Watson decide to join our program again is very exciting," said Davis. "I just hope he brings his clicker with him this year."  During an extensive investigation of Watson, Davis made his feelings known when he called Watson a cheater.  "I feel like Watson does not want to cheat, but he has a problem counting.  He seems to have an entirely new game when he carries his clicker."

Watson signs as the last and 9th Captains Club member.  He also signs as the 41st overall player and 14th player to represent Ohio.  Watson also plans to participate at the annual practice round this year.
