WINSTON-SALEM, NC — With only 16 weeks left before Round 1, all eyes are beginning to turn to Rick Dosky and the financials for the 2004 Carl Spackler Open in Winston-Salem, NC.

This year?s event has been scheduled for June 10th ? 12th, 2004 with a practice round available to participants on June 9th. The field is expected to be more competitive and the number of potential golfers registered with the website is a greater indication that the 4th Annual tournament will be a greater success then the first.

The December signing period has guaranteed attendance by all three Golden Jacket winners along with all three winners of the Spackler Outfit. There is a record 44 players attending this year's event.

"There was concern that the field could be decreased just based on the letters received by Christmas", said Rick Dosky. "A lot of talk was going on, but nearly zero checks at Christmas." The postal mail did get busy just in the nick of time.  "The checks just poored in during the last week", Dosky continued.  "I was getting 6 or 7 per day that week."

A second optional payment is due on March 1, 2004.  The funding page displays the remaining balance for payment.  "Players can send a portion, nothing or everything whenever they are ready.  This reminder comes two weeks before the scheduled 2nd payment."  The final deadline for the required $329 is May 1.

The Captains Club did make one brief statement to the field.  "Our CFO is collecting over $13,000 for the 2004 event.  Please make this as easy as possible.  Do not procrastinate."
