WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The Captains Club are officially recruiting the best players and communicating the opportunity for four additional players to be added to the impressive field. What appeared to be a seven month notice still has checks being mailed in February.

"We would like everyone that has friends thinking about Carl Spackler 2004 to get them registered", said Jamie Myers, CEO and member of the Captains Club. "We have a great tournament and would like to see great things happen like opening our field to 48 players. We have a few players like Kevin Long, Jr. and rookie Jason Ridgeway that would like an opportunity to win the Golden Jacket."

Jason Ridgeway, a new employee of Cardinal Health in Dublin could be the best RAW player in the field. "This sounds like a great experience", said Ridgeway. "However, I need everyone to help me.  I will, given the chance, dethrown Greg Long of low RAW score for the 1st time in Spackler history."

The Carl Spackler Open is scheduled for June 10-12, 2004. The Village Inn and Conference Center has partnered with the Open Championship to provide lodging for the players. Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem, NC has also be partnered to host the major championship.

Players have and will continue to be added to the waiting list until a complete foursome is paid in full.  Then based on availability, players can and will be added to the field.
