?Spruill-ing? Around

GREENVILLE, NC — Lee Spruill will be around for the 2004 Carl Spackler Open Championship at Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem, NC, CFO Rick Dosky announced today.  Spruill, an Open Rookie, was very excited to be a part of a well-respected championship and such a talented field.

?It?s an honor and a privilege to be invited to a tournament with as much prestige and with one that carries such an incredibly talented field as this one.  I?m really looking forward to the challenge of playing in a major tournament, and to be truthful, this is my favorite of all the majors.  It would mean something special to me to play well in it, especially in front of Mr. Spackler himself,? said Spruill.

?This guy has all the tools, he?s the first Rookie coming into the tournament that everyone will be watching, because they know that he can contend for the title immediately.  I wouldn?t be a bit surprised to see him finish in the top five,? said Mike Watkeys.

?Definitely a contender,? added Jeff Cowan, Director of Alcohol.  ?He?s strong with the flat stick, and good with the irons, the wedges, and the driver.  He doesn?t have one weakness in his game.  The only thing missing is major tournament experience, and he?ll unquestionably get that this year.?
