No Doubt for 2005

December 6, 2004

GROVE CITY, OH — Tom McCauley has announced the signing of Rick Dosky to a National Letter of Intent for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open. This strong move positions Rick for his 8th major championship in just 4 years. He guarantees with no doubt that no baby is possible for the first time in 3 years which diminishes his chances to retain the Kitchen Pass Award.

"To have a player of this financial level is pretty amazing for our group," McCauley said. "We have the best program and Dosky will continue to be the foundation of our strong financial outlook. He can potentially be one of the worst players in the country to sign this year, but that really does not matter with our tournament."

Dosky joins an already strong group of players. Other players include Jay Glover, Greg Long, Mike Lewis, Marty Zabonik, and Brian Long for the 5th annual major championship. "I am really excited for most of the Captains Club," says Dosky.  "They are returning home to Pennsylvania this year and that is special."

Rick started his offseason last week after placing 53rd in the 2004 On Tour Championship and 11th at Golfapalooza VIII in late-September.  Dosky is one of the rare players to receive 1 point for triple bogey and 4 points for bogey.

"Dosky demonstrates the quality of players in the state of Ohio," McCauley said. "I have always said that being able to compete against the best players in the state really helps your chances to win a major."

The Carl Spackler Open is scheduled to begin play in 184 days.  Players will continue to sign for 27 days.
