WESTERVILLE, OH — It was difficult, but the Carl Spackler Open has another Horses Ass. Chad Long proved he is "a true horses ass" and now is ready to attend his 3rd straight Open Championship.

Glenn Hoffert signed earlier this week.  Glenn and Andy Cohen delivered their nomination for Chad being the horses ass back in June. "We were on Hole 4," says Hoffert. "Chad was about 120 yards out and looking for his 9-iron. He looked in his bag, while complaining repeatedly. After about 5 minutes, he wanted to drive backwards through the course looking for the club." Chad was reportedly seen and heard asking every player in the field as he continued to get more frustrated with each foursome he passed.

"Are you sure it is not in your bag," says Andy Cohen. "I asked him because he was drunk and usually acts stupid." After tracking backwards through the entire front nine, Chad returned to his ball without the club. "I will just hit the wedge," said Chad as he went to his bag for the club.

"That was the moment I will never forget," said Hoffert. "He went into the golf bag and found his 9-iron. His grin was priceless."

Although Chad Long has not played a non-major round of golf in 2 years, he placed 7th in 2004 and 2nd in June 2003.  He signs as the 4th player from Ohio behind Greg Long, Rick Dosky, and Mike Zabonik.

The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in 173 days.  Players have approximately 16 days to enter the most inticipated major championship in years.  The field of now 10 players will embark to Pottsville, PA in June.
