Verbal Commitment

August 18, 2005

WARREN, PA — Jamie O'Donnell, aka Jiggsy, communicated the first rookie verbal commitment to the 2006 Carl Spackler Open on Tuesday.  The expected signing in November comes one year after his wife had a baby 3 days before the 2005 tournament.

"My wife does not seem to be knocked up this year so I would like to say I am in," said a confident Jiggsy.  "It is time for me to make an impact in this huge event."

Jiggsy turned in a lone scorecard in July 2004 shooting 33-over par at Kane Country Club.

"We are glad he has decided to keep it in his pants," says Captains Club CEO Jamie Myers.  "I am not sure he fully understands the Red Zone Alert.  It does not end for 60 days and he may just eat his words."

Jamie O'Donnell could arrive with Tom Carroll.  A NOOG registration and signing would certaintly decide the 2006 tournament honoree.  It will also place the Captains Club in a position to rename the point system.

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open is scheduled for June 7-10, 2006.  The venue is slated for New York, West Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky, or maybe North Carolina.  Invitations will be available on November 15, 2005.
