VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Chris Hays, who waited to enter his first On Tour Championship until this year, has 53rd position on the Leaderboard and is looking for a strong finish after posting 40 points at Lake Wright Golf Club.

"This guy is playing 6,100 yards," said Brian Flanagan. "A 300-yard par 4 is stepping over the line.  I am going to ask these guys [Cooper, Dore, and Hays] to move back and hit the ball like men."

Hays played well shooting bogey golf and scoring an impressive 40 points. Clearly moving him up the leaderboard with 34.4 points per round.  "I played quite well," said Hays. "I was a quadruple bogey out of the gate from shooting in the high 80's.  That is great golf regardless of yardage."

Chris Hays did play a challenge on July 10 at Hell's Point in Virginia Beach. Although he played an even shorter 6,030 yards, the tougher course added several big numbers on the card and forced zero NOOG points over much of his scorecard.

The Red Zone Alert has begun.  The On Tour Championship completes in 5 months.  With football season beginning in less than 30 days, players continue to push for quick moves up the leaderboard.
