MARYSVILLE, OH — All he had to do was make putts at Thunder Hill and Tom Fowble might have saved everyone a show on #18. He still must wonder how he could putt so terrible over a 54-hole tournament and still capture his first major.

Although he was hiding his golf lessons throughout the spring, his major championship is still very impressive.  What really got the field's attention after Round 2.  After hanging around in Round 1, OlaFowble made his move in Round 2 by sliding up three spots over Brian Flanagan, Kevin Long, Jr. and John Dick to take over a lead that he would never relinquish.

As for the repeat...  Fowble probably has 40 majors ahead of him, so his NOOG and chances are bound to change.  "His points will probably change, because it's happens to everyone else," Jay Dilks said. "But if you hang around enough times, you're also going to win your share."

"I'll treat each major the same as all the others," OlaFowble said. "Same focus. Same mind-set. Same preparation. And hopefully, it works out. It has worked in the past. The key is to put yourself there, and hopefully you outplay the other guy."

He won't win them all. All he can ask for is a chance each year.
