True Honor Begins

February 20, 2004

WINSTON-SALEM, NC — With 111 days before the 2004 Carl Spackler Open, the Captains Club is sifting through player profiles looking for the best representative for the 2004 Tournament Honoree.

This special player will be ageless, have love for the game, confident, not too honest and most importantly be able to achieve those kitchen passes. The player will be a human dynamo who tends to make normal people uncomfortable with what they haven't done with their own lives.

Nominees should be documented and sent to the Captains Club for review. Documentation should include several pictures for the traditional bagtags.  A vote is expected in two weeks with an announcement on March 15. Press conference notifications will be given through the Spackler Business Office.

The 2004 major championship will begin on June 10, 2004.  All the players from around the eastern United States are poised to win the coveted Golden Jacket.  There are 44 players, but only one winner on June 12.
