WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The 2004 Carl Spackler Open Scramble is in the record books.  The unemotional "eagle" was enough to win the event, but the 5 birdies placed the appropriate smackdown on the field of players.

Jason Ridgeway, Brian Flanagan, Brian Long, and Mike Lewis made up the winning foursome on Friday, June 11.  "Mike Lewis is pretty good," says Jason Ridgeway.  "He made the shots that we needed on the front nine so we could get wasted on the back side.  For that, I thank him and my team."

Jon Munksgard, who fueled the record-breaking scorecard with Captains Morgan wants to ensure the true credit is given.  "Captains was the difference," says Munksgard.  "It took the edge off that foursome so they could just play the game."

The 2004 Carl Spackler Open hosted the optional scramble after Round 2.  There were 28 players who participated in the event.
