Purses, Poop & The Paparazzi

June 2, 2006

CLAYTON, NC — The Spackler business office has returned in early-June with two larger purses. Two purses that should drive great golf and great memories.

First, the golf tournament purse has increased from $324 to $349 for the 2006 Championship scheduled for next week. The $349 goes 100% to the golfer scoring the most points. This golfer will also win the Championship Trophy and Golden Jacket.

Another large purse is available, but not distributed to a great golfer. The best photographs of the tournament will be awarded $225 beginning in 2006. First place will receive $150 while runner up receives $75 towards the 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship.

The photograph can consist of anything and anytime from Wednesday, June 7 through June 11. All photographs will be sent to the business office after the tournament and reviewed for finalists. The best photographs will be sent out to the field of players in early July to determine our winners.

"This initiative along with the Carl Spackler Outfit ensures a golf focus for at least 2 rounds," says Vice President of Online Scoring, Greg Garrett. "It also ensures our memories can last forever. Can anyone beat Kev's poop stain?"

The lower volume of photographs from 2004 and 2005 continues to raise the stakes. "I plan to bring my camera again this year," says the winner of 2005 Mike Herron. "I have been reading books on the paparazzi."

A scoring laptop will be available if guys do not want the responsibility of burning to CD and mailing it. Photographs will only be considered if permitted by the Captains Club for complete public view on the Internet.

The prizes cannot be used as the first $120 non-refundable non-transferable deposit. The details on the 2007 Carl Spackler Open Championship were not disclosed.
