ASHTABULA, OH — Three weeks ago golf fans got a glimpse of the jacket ceremony at the Carl Spackler Open. No doubt most of you will not remember it as the 2003 Spackler Outfit stole the show again. There are few things as touching as Jon Munksgard. To top off his last place finish, Jon did not hide between Carl's oversized pants and knee deep fishing boots. On Saturday evening, the field enjoyed the best ceremonies in golf, the loser donning the Carl Spackler Outfit and traveling around town into bars and restaurants.

There isn't a prettier setting in golf than watching the worst player in the field wear the Outfit. Jon Munksgard scored a career low 11, 14 ,12 points to steal the 2003 Carl Spackler Outfit away from Tom McCauley who finished last year with 77 points. Jon played the tournament in style shooting 82, 81, 75, 80, 70, 98 or 270-over par over the 3 rounds.

"We are very glad that Jon attended this year's open", said Jay Dilks.  "Although Jon can improve in 2004, we plan to give out our first two-point triple bogey.  It only makes sense."
