Registration Table

May 16, 2013

SNOWSHOE, WV — The Carl Spackler business office announced today the annual registration table will return this year, which will be run by Jay Dilks and his friendly ghosts Jeremy Myers, Pat Boland, Brian Flanagan, Jason Watson, Matt Pritchard, Mike Davis, Matt Davis, and Don Creighton. The table is a required visit for all participants.

"The event is large and procedures must change to correspond," says Chairman of the Captains Club Greg Long. "Each golfer must register with our table 30 minutes before the afternoon practice round. It is not optional."

The registration table will be signing-in golfers along with distributing gifts, participant option purchases, pairing sheets, and personalized bag tag.

"The purpose of the table is to acquire must needed efficiencies," says Jay Dilks. "We have thousands of items to distribute. The most senior members of the Carl Spackler Open are not excluded from this requirement. There needs to be zero items on our table when the practice round begins."

The registration table will be setup in front of the clubhouse at The Raven Golf Course at Snowshoe Resort. It is expected to also be adjacent to golf carts.

"Jay Dilks and his friendly ghosts deserve some practice time and attention," added Long. "The table will be setup early and you can help the event by not delaying your visit to the registration table."

The registration table on Thursday removes mass distribution from the tournament player meeting.

"This table went on trial in 2011," says Dilks. "It went very well with a few changes in 2012. The Captains Club and event has experienced a large efficiency, however we still have golfers showing up 10 minutes before a shotgun start and golfers not visiting the table upon arrival. We can do better."

The 2013 Carl Spackler Open will hold its practice round on Thursday, June 6 starting at 2:00PM. The shotgun start will open the range for practice at 12:30PM. The Comfort Inn will begin to provide breakfast starting at 6:00AM. General announcements are scheduled for 1:45PM with carts scheduled to depart for starting holes at 1:50PM.
