BROOKLYN, MI — Dave Nickles chose to relive the 2006 Carl Spackler Open last weekend using a hotel cot assembled and prepared in the second story hallway. The gesture by the Super 8 Motel and choice by Nickles himself provided a much more efficient process to find home sweet home at 3:30AM EST.

"It makes things much easier," said Nickles after rolling out of bed on Sunday morning. "This type of treatment eliminates the room number, key card, and most importantly rug burns. Very very efficient and highly recommended to all participants."

Nickles decided on the new approach to lodging after passing out on the 12th floor hallway in Raleigh.

"I am glad to see he has found home sweet home," said Jay Glover. "This allowed me to get some sleep this year instead of getting calls from security."

Nickles is a two-time member of the Carl Spackler Open Championship. He finished the major championship in a tie for 42nd position. He finished in third position for the highest volume of alcohol consumption.

In other golf news, Jason Ridgeway finished the tournament with 13 birdies. The influx of birdies was 5 birdies more than his 8.1 average for 54 holes. The total was enough against 61 other golfers.
