Very Tight

GROVE CITY, OH — "Is it just part of my imagination or does every golf course in the world  tight as a garment held to the skin by elastic tension," says David Lauerhass, a.k.a. Half Swing. "The four rounds at Grande Golf Club has tightened up every course in Columbus." These were the immediate thoughts proposed after Lauerhass' round at Links at Groveport.

"The fairways were twice as tight as I remember them," says Half Swing after his round. "It wasn't Oakmont in Pittsburgh, but it felt like it out there."

David Lauerhass scored 65 points over the weekend highlighted by 3 pars and 8 bogeys. He shot a 23-over 95.

"I know how he feels," says buddy Allan Hench. "Even the wide open Raymond Memorial Golf Course feels tight after the Grande."

In other news, Mike Herron broke 90 for the first time in over a year on Sunday at Tradition at the Crossings. Herron, who struggled last year, also wore the 2005 Carl Spackler Outfit at Mountain Valley.

Brian Long also added a debacle to his golf history with just 50 points. He shot 26-over par. John Sabat shot an incredible 1-over 36 front nine at Jackson Valley. He scored 72 points. Sabat moves into 15th position.

Jason Ridgeway continues to hold first position with George Seidel in 49th position. There is 26.8 points per round between first place and last place with 6 months remaining in the 2007 Virtual Tournament.
