PEORIA, IL — The Captains Club formally announced today a welcome player's meeting must return in 2022. The meeting will be held on Wednesday morning in the hotel banquet room. The meeting will begin at 7:30am Central Standard Time.

"We have both an exciting and informative meeting planned," said Chairman of the Captains Club Greg Long. "Get your breakfast and a beer. The meeting is a quick walk from your hotel room."

The meeting itinerary will include some meet and greet, golf course instruction, player introductions, apparel and gift distribution, golf cart assignments, golf course food plan, bag storage procedures, range balls, tee markers, itinerary, weather updates, and last minute instruction.

"The Captains Club anonymously demanded the Welcome Player Meeting in 2021," says CFO Rick Dosky. "The importance of getting organized has enormous value. It is our opportunity to also welcome everyone to our event. So a new tradition continues."

Food procedures at the golf course will be provided. “We have new senior tee qualifications this year,” said Bill Bateson. “We will discuss the yardages, tees, and who qualifies.”

The group will immediately leave for Metamora Fields after the meeting. The shotgun start is set for 10:00am Central Standard Time.

The 2022 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Metamora Fields in Peoria, Illinois. There are 96 golfers expected for the 108-hour golf party. Participants from 18 different states are expected to tee off Thursday in the 21st golf tournament.
