Golf.PostStats.com Debut
October 29, 2005
COLUMBUS, OH — Poststats.com, Inc., future provider of services supporting amateur sports
entertainment, successfully transitioned the old CarlSpacklerOpen.com. This
included Carl Spackler Open and Golfapalooza golf groups to new Poststats
Private Communities. The beta release of Poststats is expected to become
available to the public on January 1. The new online company will serve as
the main portal to national sports communities created from individual
amateurs for many amateur sports.
The first order of business continues to be replacing the old Carl Spackler
Open.com services and assume responsibility as a huge golf portal. This
includes further development of Poststats.com including a very expanded
tournament, outing, league section of the website.
The business has created public communities for St. Louis, Columbus,
Virginia Beach, Richmond, Pittsburgh, Warren, Allentown, and Washington.
Further public communities will follow as memberships are added.
Weather forecasting has been added to track player, communities, and each
golf course. Using requests from tee date entries, the computer will manage
and notify golfers of weather changes. Full handicapping has been added to
double the golfer handicapping services and includes multiple leaderboards.
An entire golf course section has been created that will host Poststats hole
rankings, restrictions, hole handicapping, surveys, websites, architects,
age and pricing. The course naming structure has improved with prefixes and
suffixes for each. Columbus, Warren, and Pittsburgh golf courses have
received a large focus this fall with additional metro areas scheduled this
spring.
Other services are available including signing scorecards, tee time filler,
and expanded bio.
The search and security capabilities have increased tenfold. Scorecard, tee
time, course survey and new photo entry have been placed in secure
environment. The golfer administration has quadrupled in size giving each
golfer the opportunity to tailor their golf services. Personal identity has
completely reshaped the efficiency of the website to the amateur golfer.
"This is just the tip of the iceberg," says CIO Brian Long. "There is a pile
of ideas and structure that still requires implementation. I think everyone
should expect changes almost everyday through January."
