Bakshi Returns
January 30, 2006
WOODLAND HILLS, CA — The Captains Club Vice President of Awards Jason Watson announced Sunday the signing of California's, Ravinder Bakshi to a national letter-of-intent to play golf at the 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship.
"I am pleased that Ravinder will be joining the guys in June," said Watson. "I expect him to become a tough competitor this year and shoot the 60's. He will not only bring a great level of talent to the team but also great enthusiasm."
Bakshi returns from his rookie tournament when he shot the high 70's to finish with the lowest number of strokes.
"He is very good player," says Marty Zabonik. "Actually, his talent and consistency is what makes him special."
Bakshi obtained his first Top 5 in the Virtual Tournament in quick fashion after registering nearly one year ago today.
John Dick, a.k.a. Shoe, had another comment. "Bakshi is very talented. The most talented golfer in our large group. However, his worst three rounds last year were in Pennsylvania," said an enlightening John Dick. "That is not something he wants on his record. He needs to return this June and play to his capabilities. Jackets are not distributed for low stroke play."
Bakshi re-signs to represent the state of California. California is the 8th state to be represented in the 2006 tournament field.
