Runner Up Favors the Neuse
February 20, 2006
WARREN, PA — Chet Munksgard, the runner up at Mountain Valley, has decided to return to the tournament that almost brought him glory. Munksgard placed 2nd of 68 -- finishing 6 points behind Rick Dosky.
"I just play my best golf at the right time," Munksgard said on Saturday. "I've played some good golf, but truth be told, we have not seen my best stuff. And this track at the Neuse, rewards the players who hit the ball well. You just can't get away with hitting it poorly around there and expect to take home a jacket."
Munksgard, a.k.a. Chetty, shoots around 100 strokes per round with what girls call "a very muscular frame".
"As Chetty plans another spring of softball, there is no telling what may happen to his golf swing," says swing expert and uncle Jon Munksgard. "We are talking two completely different swing planes."
