BUFFALO, NY — The 2006 Carl Spackler Open begins in 105 days, however the second phase of the tournament begins in one week.

"We have lined up several player preferences and options for June," says Mike Trojanowski at the monthly press conference. "We really have no surprises."

The tournament player preferences and options are expected to begin in one week. There will be 5 preferences of choice including:

(1) Tuesday Lodging (2) Wednesday Practice Round (3) Friday 4-man Scramble (4) Apparel (5) Playing Partners (6) Roommates

"We are all setup and ready to go," says Mike Trojanowski. "The new website and preference selector is set for March 1. The preference selector can be completed after sign-in from links on the golfer homepage or trip option page."

Trip options are not listed online until March 1. This is to ensure changes in prices and overall attendance do not require golfers to revisit their options. They will be available for change only for 30 days and then removed online. Actual preference selections will be displayed for the entire group through June.

"We would not like to see changes after March 31," says Trojanowski. "All changes after April 26 will not be refunded. Additions may be accepted depending on need."

Foursome partners and roommates will be selected based on preferences made by each golfer. There are no guarantees that all preferences can be met. The system requires multiple golfers be selected.

The field of players continues to grow each day.
