February 24, 2006
ANN ARBOR, MI — With 103 days away, George Seidel from the University of Michigan, has assured this year's championship will have another state represented. He signs as the 3rd rookie behind Dave Nickles and Eugene Faiella.
"I have asked my good friend from Michigan to join us at The Neuse," says Jon Marti of Warren, PA. "Not only to join the fun, but too ensure the older crowd is better represented. His name is Ravi Bakshi."
Seidel enters the tournament as the 48th player. He also represents the 11th individual state behind California, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.
"It is great to see a few more experienced players in the field," says John Dick. "I hope he takes the tournament seriously and brings his A game."
The 2006 Carl Spackler Open begins on June 8. Players have 5 days before preferences will be available online.
