RALEIGH, NC — The 2006 Carl Spackler Open is the largest known golf trip in the United States. It is the huge multi-day out-of-state golf trip with 59 golfers. You would think this would be enough for incredibly fast growing major championship.

The tournament still waits for a 60th player to join the field and organize the field into exactly 15 full tee times.

"We have received a lot of verbal and written offers this year," says Myers. "I would guess about 20 commitments that never financially signed. We still have one more spot."

Kevin Long, Jr., Jim Campbell and Surinder Punia continue to wait for the 60th participant. The only 3 players to financially commit after the January 3rd deadline.

The open spot can be filled with a full payment to Rick Dosky for $349.00. The last open spot will be granted to the first check received regardless of postmarked date.

The 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins in 100 days. Trip preference selection begins in 2 days.
